2013 is going to be a big year for Tollywood film industry. Huge films “Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu”, “Nayak”, “Mirchi”, “Sarocharu” and “Badshah” are going to greet Tollywood spectators in the early 2013. Nearly 200 Crores business is going to be done in Tollywood in the first 3 months of 2013.
Taking these heavy budgeted films into consideration, State Government is considering the request of the film producers and the film distributors to increase the price of tickets. Sources revealed that the State Government is in a plan to implement flexible prices on festivals and weekends. Southern Indian States have successfully implemented this methodology.
If this methods gets into action, we can say that the prices of the ticket may be anywhere between Rs. 55 to Rs. 110. Will this raise in ticket price increases the rate of piracy? We have to wait for some more time to know the answer.
